Viola Artemani creates wildly enigmatic graphic works.  Passionate about drawing since childhood, she now uses a variety of media, from ink to charcoal powder, to create her work.

Her dreamlike paintings convey universal values such as strength, benevolence and unity.

Viola Artemani's paintings are richly colored compositions in acrylic, mixed media and oil. Each displays a brilliant pastiche of figurative  details combined with abstract or  ornamental background that does not simply embellish the art, but becomes its content.  The emotional structure of Artemani’s work expresses a renewed, richer and deeper view of life.

Viola Artemani was born in Tbilisi, Georgia. He is influenced by Gustav Klimt’s Austrian symbolist and modernist painters. Her work is also believed to be influenced by the Viennese school of painting.  Artist works in acrylic, mixed media and oil. She  has a preference for oil, oil sticks and their rich palette of color as well as acrylic paint. The rich color palette  creates a contrasting background for the delicate female portraits. From this point on, Artemani's  paintings have the classic psychedelic character. The colors of the paintings intertwine with the collage of abstract background and composition to create both mood and a multidimensional surface.
